About

Hi, welcome to My Friend Anxiety. I started this blog after I was diagnosed with Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 2016.

After a few months of struggling to ‘get on with it’ I ended up unable to get out of bed for nearly 6 weeks. That’s when I realised I really needed to find a way to help myself get better. I’ve found specialists in psychology, psychiatry, nutrition and alternative health practices. I’m still very much at the beginning of my journey to get well but I’m hoping that my journey may in some way help others going through something similar.

At times I’m lonely, insanely bored, exhausted, fed up, frustrated and most of all scared. But I’m starting to see that there could be life after this, that I’m on a journey I needed very much to take.
